Outdoor Games 2:00-4:00 p.m. every Wednesday in October  

Shuffleboard, horseshoes bocce ball, corn hole and pickle ball are waiting for you. Bring your neighbor and come to have some fun.  It is getting cooler now so you can enjoy learning a new game or sharpen your skills.

Beginner Pickleball every Thursday at 5:00p.m.

Come and enjoy playing. Paddles and balls are provided. 

Wednesday, October 21st Craft Sit-In  6:00p.m.

Terry Douglas is hosting this new event for crafters wanting to get together to work on their projects and sharing time together. Bring your project and see what others are working on. If there is enough interest this will be a weekly get together. Meeting will take place in the arts and craft room. This will be a weekly event.

Monday, October 19th Craft Class 1:00 p.m.

This month we will be making a pumpkin from wine corks then painting them.  All supplies will be provided.  Class size is limited to 12 this month. Class cost is $5.00.

Saturday, October 24th Grove Community Yard Sale 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

If you are planning to participate in the yard sale the sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. This will be a yard sale only. We are not including a craft sale, hot dogs or bake sale. Crafters wanting to sell crafts can do so at their home.  Mary Raymer will be hosting a bake sale in her driveway. Proceeds will go to the Grove fund. Contact Mary if you are interested in donating baked goods. If you are wanting to donate what doesn't sell please call Big Fish at 251-970-0031 for a pick up. Or you can do a drop off at Big Fish Thrift Shop, Waterfront Mission, Resale Haven or Holy Spirit. If you have questions please email me or call 509-590-6481.

Sunday, October 25th Texas Holdem Tournament 1:00 p.m.

Buy-in is $10-00. Sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board.  You can also call Greg Bahnmiller at 517-592-6153 to sign up. This will be a monthly event held the 4th Sunday of the month at 1:00p.m. in the game room.

Monday, October 26th Diabetes Presentation 1:00 p.m.

Dr.Lindsey McCormick will join us to present her knowledge on controlling diabetes and answering your questions whether you are newly diagnosed or aren’t new to dealing with diabetes.  The medical community is always learning more about diabetes so now is the time to gain some knowledge.  Sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board.

Friday, October 30th Halloween Party begins at 3:00p.m.

There are 3 parts to this fun event. 1st is the Decorate your Yard contest. Have your yard decorated by October 24th. Starting October 25th-29th at 5:00 p.m. Residents drive around and pick your favorite decorated yard/home. One vote per household. Voting box will be on the counter in the craft room. 

2nd Event is Golf Cart Parade. Decorate your golf cart in a Halloween Theme. Meet at the clubhouse at 3:00 p.m. for a golf cart parade through the Grove. Residents can give out candy to the carts if you’d like.

3rd Event is a Costume Contest and Party about 4:00-4:15. After the parade meet in the parking lot by the fitness center for the party. Music provided by Sheila and Mike Bullock. Winners of the best decorated home, best golf cart and best costume will be awarded.  

Sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Please sign up if you are attending the costume party, golf cart or both. 

In the event of rain, the party will be moved to the pool deck under the awning. The coordinators for this event are Vickie Ellis, Laura Shannon and Sheila Bullock.

Due to the virus there are many events that are cancelled or have moved their event to a later date. At this time, it is difficult for me to be accurate with what is going on in our area. So, until things settle down, I will not be listing the events in our area.  You can check the websites below or call the welcome centers in Foley and Gulf Shores to find out what is happening. I will add back the activities in our area once this has passed.

The Gulf Shores Welcome Center is at 3459 Gulf Shores Pkwy. Heading south they are located just above the college on the right side of the road.
