At the latest news conference Governor Kay Ivey’s announced the 6-foot distancing rule will remain in effect until July 3rd.

Quick Explanation of the 2 pool exercise classes:

Water Aerobics is a high impact aerobics class that lasts for 45 minutes. Doing the aerobics in the water helps by not putting the stress on your body that a high impact aerobics class would do. Judy Bahnmiller is the teacher for this class.

Pool Exercises are 3 different CD’s that are an instructional exercise routine. 2 of the CD’s are therapeutic exercises for arthritis and the 3rd one is a low impact aerobics class. The CD’s are rotated so you work out to each one on a weekly basis.   Ronda is leading all 3 classes right now.

Reminder:  The Fitness Center is open.  There are paper towels and disinfectant spray on the counter top for you to wipe down the machines before and after use. The machines have been moved around to allow distancing between the machines.

Maria will be starting her low impact aerobics classes in June on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 9:00a.m. in the fitness center.  This class will still need to maintain the 6-foot distancing rule.

Note: The auditorium has been reset with 6-foot distancing between tables and 4 chairs per table. Please do not move tables and chairs.  They are spaced for your protection and need to remain as they are.

On Wednesday morning at 9:00 the coffee group will meet in the parking lot. Bring a cup and join in the conversation while sitting in your golf cart maintaining the 6-foot distancing requirement.

Friday, June 5th Howl at the Moon Aerobics  8:20p.m.

Judy Bahnmiller is leading this class.  Come and join in the fun and howl at the moon. If you don’t feel like getting in the pool you can still come and howl at the moon.

Wednesday, June 18th Skin Cancer Presentation 1:00 p.m.

Dr. Autumn Walker will give a presentation on skin cancer. We all are in the sun and have the chance to develop skin cancer. Dr. Walker will review what you need to know and what to look for so you can catch any problems early on. Sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board.

Saturday, June 13th Grove Breakfast 9:00-10:00 a.m.

Mark your calendar for the Grove breakfast.  The information sheet with the menu is posted on the bulletin board.  You can chose to have take-out or eat in the auditorium or on the pool deck.  Presale tickets will be sold on Sunday June 7th from 6:00-7:00. Ticket cost is $7.00.  Those who purchased tickets for the March breakfast will be honored at this breakfast.  No tickets will be sold at the door.

Thursday, June 18th Veterans Monthly Meeting 11:00 a.m.

If you are a Veteran please plan on attending this meeting. This is a time to get together with other Veterans, sharing helpful information and learning more on what’s available for Veterans.
