To the Vets in the Grove.

If you go to the Gulf State Park Headquarters Office and identify yourself as a Vet, they will issue you a one-year free parking pass (renewable yearly) for parking at the Gulf State Park Pavilion parking lot.

Here are the directions:

take 59 to the intersection of 180 (Fort Morgan Rd) and turn left (east) as if you were going to the Gulf shores Walmart.  But go straight into Gulf State Park.  About a block or so after you enter the park, on your left (North side of the road) you will see a sign which says Park Headquarters. that's the spot.

They start setting up about a week prior to the event but the beach is still open during set up.  This isn’t a time that you would want to try to head for the Gulf Shores public beach as they have it closed off where 59 dead ends into The Hangout.
