Sunday, 19th Grove Breakfast Ticket Sales 6:00-7:00 

Be sure to stop by and purchase your tickets for the Grove Breakfast on January 25th from 9-10.  No tickets sold at the door. You must pre-purchase your ticket however, be sure to sign up prior to paying for your ticket. Cost is $7.00 per person. 

Thursday, January 23rd Meet & Greet and Chili Cookoff 4:00-6:00

Come and meet the new residents and join in the Chili cookoff.  Dust off your favorite chili recipe and sign up to compete. This is a combination event.  Chili contestants will bring their chili up to the clubhouse at 3:00 p.m. But you must have signed up to be in the contest. Each entry will be given a number.  Everyone attending the event will get to taste each entry and vote for their favorite. After the tasting we will have a chili feed and then will introduce the new residents that have moved in since last May.  It will be a fun event and we will give 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the Chili Cookoff.

Friday, January 24th Recipe Sharing Dinner Club 5:00 

The theme for January is “Surprise us”. Enjoy making your favorite dish, try a new recipe or start the new year with a low-calorie option, the choice is yours.   Be sure to sign up so we have an accurate count for table set up. Please bring at least 6 copies of your recipe and include your name on your recipe.  We will vote for February’s theme so bring your ideas with you. Please bring a serving utensil for your dish and your beverage of choice.   

Saturday, January 25th Grove Breakfast 9:00-10:00

This is the first breakfast of 2020.  Menu is: Scrambled eggs & ham combo, breakfast burrito, biscuits and sausage gravy, grits, sausage patties, fruit, coffee. Sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Be sure to sign up prior to purchasing your ticket on  January 19thfrom 6-7pm. Cost is $7:00 per person.

Monday, January 27th Craft Floral Arranging Class 1:00

This is an additional class this month.  This class will be taught by Marilyn Idleman. There will be a class supply list with the sign-up sheet. There won’t be a cost for this class. Your cost will be the supplies that you will purchase for this class.

Join your friends sharing conversation on a variety of topics. Be sure to sign-up for this event. 

Monday, February 3rd Book Folding Craft Class 1:00 p.m.

This is an additional craft class this month.  You will learn to fold pages of a book into a heart.  All supplies are furnished. Class cost is $5.00. Sign-up sheet is in the arts and craft room and the samples.

Thursday, February 6th Income Tax Seminar 1:00 

Join Julie Culp, Master Tax Advisor to learn what the changes are in filing your 2019 taxes. She will focus on how the changes impact seniors and how it will benefit us. Information flyers and handouts will be provided. Bring all your questions for her to answer. Sign-up sheet will be posted on Monday, January 20th.

Monday, February 10th CBD Presentation by Pure Life Pharmacist 11:00

Have you been wondering about CBD products and if they really do what they say they do? Are they beneficial and what are the side effects? Come and learn. Saturday, February 8th Four Winds Barbershop Chorus 7:00 p.m.

The Four Winds Barbershop Chorus is comprised of snowbirds and some locals. The group began singing in 1994. They have delighted many audiences with their harmony and renditions of many memorable songs through their wonderful harmony and enjoyment of singing. There will be a donation basket at each entrance to the auditorium. They don’t charge for their performances but appreciate donations to help offset their costs. Sign-up sheet will be posted on Monday the 20th.

Saturday, February 15th The Grove Pasta Dinner Dance 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Dinner from 5:00-6:00. Music by Scott Kohen will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $10.00 per person and can be purchased on February 2nd and 9th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Menu is: Salad & fixin’s, Penne Pasta with red sauce, Italian Sausages, Garlic Knots, Dessert, Coffee and Tea.  Sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board. Please sign up prior to purchasing your tickets.

Saturday, February 1st and 15th  Ladies Only Golf Lessons 10:00 a.m.

Ladies only golf lessons will be the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. You don’t need to own any equipment. Just come and have fun and learn.

Saturday, February 22nd Pickle Ball Beginner Lesson 9:00 a.m.

Eddie McDonald will be here to teach beginner pickle ball to any Grover wanting to learn the basics of how to play. He will have paddles to use if you don’t have one. Eddie is a pickle ball player, teacher and belongs to the USAPA. And Pickle Ball Ambassador for Baldwin County. Sign-up sheet will be posted Tuesday, January 21st. Be sure to sign up if you are interested in learning.

Sunday, February 23rd, Grove Mardi Gras Celebration 2:00 p.m.

Decorate your golf cart and join the parade. Golf carts will meet at the clubhouse at 2:00 then parade though the community. After the parade will be a potluck meal at the clubhouse. Mary Raymer is the coordinator of this event. Please contact her at 314-704-4915 with questions. There are sign-up sheets for golf carts, volunteers and potluck on the bulletin board.

Friday, February 28th Computer Club 1:00 p.m. 

Computer club is returning. This will be our first meeting of 2020.  Anyone interested in learning specifics on computers, have questions and need answers this is the time. We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Fridays at 1:00 p.m. starting in March.  You can bring your laptop or just take notes if you prefer. Sign-up sheet will be posted on Tuesday, January 21st.
